THE GARDENS

Welcome visitors and thank you for visiting our gardens.
The Nature Cost Botanical Garden  is a 4.5 acre garden habitat
that you are entering at your own risk.
You may encounter insects, most of which are harmless, however some of them may sting or bite:
(mosquitos, bees, ants, spiders etc.)
You may encounter wildlife, (Birds, squirrels, snakes, armadillos, opossums, cats, etc.)
Please do not interact with them.
You may also see an alligator on the bank of the pond,,-a rattlesnake behind the cactus garden, -
rabbits in the fantasy garden.
They are all concrete statuary that MAY LOOK REAL.
This is a place to relax, have fun and enjoy nature in all it's glory
We need volunteers to help keep our garden looking beautiful.  If you like to garden and want hands on learning about how and what to grow in our area of Florida, this is the place for you.
Currently there are  several gardens in need of an "owner".
The owners take care of their garden and make it their own.  1 day a week would be plenty of time to keep these gardens looking beautiful.
The gardens open change from time to time.

Just show up on Sat, Mon or Wed morning and see Carole Biagini, the Garden Manager or click contact us above and send a email to let us know you are interested.  There are also many opportunities to volunteer even if you do not want to take on an ownership of a garden.  We have fun working at the gardens, come join us!!

GARDEN ROCKS 2025
We have always enjoyed the little stones that the children hide in the garden, but we are seeing large painted stones being left in the gardens.  Each individual garden has an "owner" who is responsible for maintaining the theme and appearance of his or her garden.
We are NOT a public property.  We are a PRIVATELY RUN garden, open to the public for their enjoyment.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow these larger stones to remain for insurance purposes unless they have been approved by our Board of Directors.
We know that many of you have put a lot of time and work into these beautiful rocks.  Hopefully you can find a public domain that would better suit your artwork.

Please contact us via [email protected] to request approval for any item to be placed in the gardens or See Carole at the gardens on Sat, Mon, Wed morning to discuss your ideas.

We have seen an increase in vandalism lately.  The train was damaged and wires were pulled so that it would not run.  The large pond in the native garden has had the plants pulled out and turned over.  The blue glass bottle tree in the butterfly has repeatedly been broken
The picture at the left shows the person who did the damage to the train.  We have other pictures of him actually doing the damage to the wires.
If you know who this is, please contact the Spring Hill Police.  This is not just petty theft, this is malicious vandalism which left the train unable to run and our small visitors to enjoy the train and whistle.
